PC Solid Sheet Construction Specifications
1. Cleaning the frame
Clean the metal frame and make sure that no chemical residues such as metal bending oil or pickling fluid remain on the frame.
2. Reserve space for expansion
Expansion space calculation formula:
Expansion value = linear expansion coefficient × length (cm)× maximum temperature difference change value (°C).
Linear expansion coefficient (K value): =7×10-5cm/cm/ °C. =0.00007.
Example: A 100cm long PC endurance board is installed in an environment with a maximum temperature difference of 40 °C throughout the year. The reserved expansion space is calculated as:
Expansion value = 0.00007×100 (cm) ×40 (°C) = 0.28cm
3. Screw washer selection
Plasticizers (DOP) in PVC gaskets and chemicals in some rubber gaskets will migrate to the surface of the gaskets and damage the PC sheet after long-term contact with the PC sheet, so they must not be used. The recommended materials for gaskets are PDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber), Silicon (silicone rubber) and Neoprene (chloroprene rubber). If there is no suitable gasket, it is better to choose not to use it than to choose a gasket that will damage the PC material.
4.Selection of sealing materials
It is recommended to use neutral silicone sealants, double-sided waterproof tape and rubber strips.
5.Cutting of Sheets
PC sheets must be cut using electric tools, and the saw blade should preferably be made of tungsten carbide. The sheets must be fixed before cutting to avoid vibration.
6. Treatment of sheet metal protective film
PC sheets are very easy to scratch, so do not tear off the protective film when cutting.
Before cutting, mark the line on the protective film as much as possible. If you must mark directly on the sheet, please use a crayon and avoid using sharp tools to touch the surface of the sheet.
7. Avoid cement erosion
Before the cement of a newly built building is completely dry, do not let it come into direct install with the PC sheet, otherwise the alkaline substances in the wet cement will damage the PC sheet.
8. Allowable eurvature radius
If the PC sheet needs to be bent, its radius of construction must be greater than the allowable curvature radius.

9.Thermoforming
When the bending radius of the sheet is less than the allowable curvature radius (R), must be used thermoforming, such as vacuum forming, must be used.
If the thermoforming temperature is higher than 120 ℃, the protective film must be removed before thermoforming.
10.Allowable deflection
As shown in the picture, the center angle of the bend must be less than or equal to 90 degrees. If it is greater than 90 degrees, a reinforcing frame strip must be added to the part less than 90 degrees.
11.Cleaning of the board
To remove dust and dirt from the surface of PC sheets, generally wipe them with a soft cloth or sponge dipped in neutral detergent, then rinse thoroughly with clean water, and finally wipe dry with a soft cloth.
12.Choice of cleaning solvent
If you need to use solvents for cleaning, remember that most solvents, such as toluene, acetone, gasoline, carbon tetrachloride, etc., will damage the PC board, so they are not recommended.
